TCI Survey

A nationwide survey of hospital CEOs, CFOs and CNOs funded by TCI in August, 2014 revealed that leaders want software that will give them real-time reports that deliver multiple clinical and financial data.

The survey was conducted for TCI by STED Research of Winter Park Florida and consisted of in-depth telephone interviews. The purpose of the survey was to help TCI gain insights into how healthcare executives:

  • Are addressing new healthcare reform compliance and reimbursement rules.
  • If these initiatives have influenced their need for advanced software tools
  • Evaluate the current state of their hospitals’ patient safety assessment programs and the software tools they use
  • Probe the perceived benefits & weaknesses

Executives from hospitals with 300 or more beds in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, New York, and New Jersey, participated in the survey.

Here are some of the survey highlights:

  • CEO’s want real-time reports that enable them to “look forward not backward.” They expressed some frustration with not having easy access to matching clinical and financial data without burdening staff with additional adhoc reporting requirements
  • Most feel their software purchases are spread across multiple decision making disciplines and not directed to their need to have actionable information that facilitates decision making.
  • TCI’s Rounds software value proposition was well received. 100% of the participants feel Rounds would be a good value and wanted to see a Rounds ROI calculator demonstration
